It's thus susceptible to getting stuck on socks and shoes, and it couldn't navigate densely packed rooms very well during our tests. It doesn't also have a camera that can see around corners.

The app lets you set up zones and modify the cleaning schedule. It has a battery lifespan that is similar to other models.

The X40, like other iRobot products, is easy to operate. It comes with a simple mobile application interface and integrates with Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKit. The only issue is that it's a noisy unit that could be problematic if you run it in the morning prior to work, or at night when you try to fall asleep.

It's also a bit expensive, but it's not as expensive as the Ecovacs Omni or Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra Both of which are equally capable and look better. This is a dual-purpose vacuum that's extremely powerful however it's more expensive and produce more noise.

iRobot L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is a top-of-the-range robot vacuum cleaner vacuum and mop with a lot of advanced features that will let you get rid of your chores. It also mopses using a single pad and a reciprocating motion which is cleaner than the majority of the mop cleaners with robots that we've tried. It's also extremely self-sufficient, with a full-featured app and a self emptying, washable base.

The iRobot app is designed to help you navigate the mapping process, which gathers information on your floorplan and any "no go" areas that you've marked on the map. It can be used to create cleaning schedules, arrange an area for cleaning or to prioritise your dirtiest rooms for better performance.
