The i7+ is more efficient and more maneuverable in our tests compared to the eufy RoboVac G30. It also removed large pet hair pieces from any surface, including carpeting. The biggest advantage over the Eufy is its self-emptying garbage bin, which removes major maintenance sources and reduces the cost of maintenance.

We were also awestruck by the i7+'s compatibility Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant AI services. We used these services to instruct the robot on how to begin, stop, or pause cleaning sessions as well as move around the room, and to vacuum a particular area. The iRobot Home App made it easy to connect the i7+ to these services. After being connected, to speak commands to the i7+ like "Hey Alexa vacuum the master bedroom." Its navigation system is smart and uses iAdapt to avoid obstacles and navigate around your home, but it lacks the mapping capability of more sophisticated models such as our top picks, the i3+ EVO and j7+ series. It may get stuck on cords for phones or furniture that is low and is often unable to supply power before returning to its original location.
