The iRobot Roomba X30 packs impressive mopping and vacuuming into a sleek, compact package. With an elegant circular design that appears more like a normal Roomba rather than the boxes, this mop and robot vacuum is one of the most attractive looking models in our tests. The latest model from iRobot is among the most intelligent and has advanced features like Enhanced Dirt Detection Technology as well as future compatibility with Matter (another company's robot that is able to wash mop pads).

It's the only robot vacuum/mop that scored 100% in our tests thanks to a blend of high-tech sensors that include cameras, a structured lighting system, and multiple lasers. For bigger homes it's recommended to choose a model with zone or spot cleaning modes that allow you to instruct the robot to clean one specific area of your home using the app or voice controls. If you have furniture, a stair-mode is also a good option. For families that are busy, a recharge function and resume feature that permits your robot vacuum to pick up where it left off can be very beneficial.

The RX3 is a smarter cleaner than you might imagine from its price. It's a pro at cleaning, removing 55% of debris in our tests (it was second only to the Roomba Q5 Pro). It also mops using one pad, which uses an oscillating motion that is cleaner than the other robot mop cleaners we've tried. And it's highly self-sufficient with a full-featured application and a self-emptying, washable base.

The well-designed iRobot app will guide you through a mapping run that gathers information about your floorplan and any "no-go" areas you have marked on the map. It can be used to design cleaning schedules or create a spot-clean. It can also be used to it to prioritize the most soiled areas for greater efficiency.
