3. Roomba X40 from iRobot

With a sleek circular design that looks more like a normal Roomba rather than the boxes, this robot vacuum and mop combo is one of the most attractive looking models in our evaluations. The latest model from iRobot happens to be its smartest and has advanced features like enhanced dirt detection technology and future compatibility with Matter (another company's robot that can wash its own mop pads).

It's the only robot vacuum/mop that has a perfect 10 in our evaluations, thanks to a combination of high-tech sensors that include cameras, a structured lighting system and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra is also the only robot in our tests that can fully autonomously refill and empty its base station and boasts an its own self-cleaning mop pads.

The X40 is, like the other iRobot products, is simple to use. It comes with a simple mobile application interface, and it integrates with Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKit. The only downside is that the X40 still a loud unit. This can be a concern in the mornings before work or during the night when you're trying to fall asleep.

It's also quite expensive however, not as much as the Ecovacs MaxV Ultra or Roborock S8 Omni, which are equally powerful and more attractive. If you're willing with a bit more noise and a little more cost it's a powerful two-in-one that will please almost everyone.

iRobot L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is the top-of-the high-end robot mop and vacuum. It has a number of advanced features that will help you forget your chores. The L20 Ultra is a hands-free cleaning device that is similar to Ecovacs top-of-the-line X2 Omni or Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra. Its vacuum cleaner has an maximum suction of 7,000 Pascals which is more than sufficient to accomplish the task. It also has a feature called "Intelligent Dirt Detection", which regulates the power of the vacuum and adjusts the frequency of cleaning for different areas in the home based on how dirty these areas tend to be.

If you own a larger home, it's worth choosing a model that has zones or spot cleaning modes.
