They do have some flaws, however, that prevent them from being our first choice. One of the Q5's shortcomings is its navigation system does not feature AI-powered obstacles avoidance. It's therefore prone to get stuck on shoes and socks and could not navigate densely packed rooms very well during our tests. It also doesn't have a camera that can see around corners.

It's still a great deal for those whose home or office has lots of unfinished floors and you're looking to save some money. It's also very quiet and can be used when you're at work or school. It's not equipped with the edge-to-edge floor vacuuming that is offered by the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30. It's also less effective in mopping. 3. IRobot Roomba X40

With a sleek circular design that appears more like a regular Roomba than the competition's boxes this mop and robot vacuum is among the most appealing looking in our evaluations. The latest model from iRobot is also among its most advanced. It comes with advanced features like Enhanced Dirt Detection and future compatibility (another company's robot that is able to wash mop pads on its own).

It's also the sole robot vacuum/mop to score a perfect 10 out of 10 in our evaluations. This is due to a mix of high-tech sensors including a structured lighting system, a camera and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra was the only robot we tested that could refill and empty its basestation in a self-contained manner. It also boasted a suction of 12,000Pa and self-cleaning mop mops.

As with other iRobot models, the X40 is user-friendly, offering an easy mobile app interface and integration with Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit as well as Google Assistant. The L20 Ultra is the top-of-the line robot mop and vacuum. It has a number of features that are advanced and will help you forget your chores. The L20 Ultra is a hands-free cleaner, similar to Ecovacs top-of-the-line X2 Omni or Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra.
