There are some issues however, which hinder them from being our top choice. One of the weaknesses of the Q5 is that its navigation system doesn't include AI-powered obstacle avoidance. It's therefore prone to get stuck on socks and shoes and could not navigate densely packed rooms very efficiently during our tests. Also, it doesn't have cameras that let it see the corners of a room.
It's still a good value for those whose home or office has lots of unfinished flooring and you're looking to save money. It's also quiet and can be used while you are at work or school. The only thing it's missing that you won't find in the pricier iRobot Roomba X30 is edge-to-edge vacuuming of floors with no floor. It's also less effective in mopping, using disposable wet wipes that don't stay on very well and can't take on dried-on debris. The Q5 does come with a self-emptying dock, though. And, if you need to, you can swap the mopping pad to dry ones in a matter of minutes.
2. IRobot Roomba
The iRobot Roomba X30 packs impressive vacuuming and mopping capabilities into a sleek, compact package. Its agile navigation and intelligent cleaning maps make it simple to clean and efficient at taking on larger particles, such as pet hair. It also has a powerful suction and a self-emptying bin. It's the most efficient robotic hoover for carpets, however it isn't as effective as some of its competitors when it comes to deep cleaning.

3. IRobot Roomba X40
With an elegant circular design that appears more like a regular Roomba than the competitors' compact models this robot vacuum and mop combo is one of the most attractive designs in our reviews. iRobot's latest flagship model also is its most advanced and has advanced features like enhanced dirt detection technology and future compatibility with Matter (another company's robot cleaner with mop that can wash its own mop pads).
It's the only robotic vacuum/mop to score 100% in our tests, thanks to a combination of high-tech sensors, which include a camera, structured light system, and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra was the only robot we tested that could refill and empty its basestation in a self-contained manner. It also boasted a suction of 12,000Pa and self-cleaning mops.
Like other iRobot models like the X40 is easy to use, offering an intuitive mobile app interface and integration with Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit, and Google Assistant. The only issue is that it's an eerily noisy device, which can be a problem if you run it in the morning before work or in the evening as you try to fall asleep.
It's also a bit expensive however, not as much as the Ecovacs MaxV Ultra or the Roborock S8 Omni, which are both equally impressive and attractive. If you're willing with a little more noise and some additional cost this is a capable two-in-one that should satisfy most people.
4. iRobot Roomba L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra is a top-of-the-range robot vacuum and mop with a variety of sophisticated features to help you get rid of your chores. Like Ecovacs the range-topping X2 Omni and Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra, the L20 is designed to be a hands-free cleaning machine that takes charge of both vacuuming and mopping, with a multi-function dock that automatically emptys the vacuum's dust bin, fills its water tank, washes and dry the mop pads.

The app also gives access to many options, including seasonal suggestions, custom maps and advanced settings for your cleaning.
Its shape is more rectangular than other robot vacuums, meaning it is able to reach corners and underneath furniture better. It also has a strong suction of 8,000 Pascal suction and intelligent combs for hair of pets. You can also set up a spot-clean that will thoroughly clean a specific area.
