Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals
This is your time to own a robot vacuum. CNET's top-rated models will be on sale during Black Friday and Cyber Monday, with discounts up to 57%..
The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot that has smart mapping and app-based no-go zones. Its run time of 180 minutes is impressive. It also automatically replenishes and self-empties its water tank.
1. Roomba j7+ iRobot from iRobot.
The Roomba J7+ is iRobot's most advanced robot vacuum to date. Its biggest innovation is a camera-based obstacle detection system that makes use of built-in AI to detect objects like charging cords, shoes, and the dreaded pet waste the majority of other robots cannot avoid (and often plough right through). It's the first robot to provide you with images of objects that it encounters, so you can instruct that it is safe to avoid it.
The Combo J7+ is the most efficient robot vacuum cleaner quiet mop we've ever tested. It cleans up dirt and spills quickly and leaves no trace of it was there. It's easy to control through the iRobot Home app that allows you to schedule cleaning and create Keep Out Zones to make sure it doesn't clean areas you don't want it to. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start it and stop it with a voice.
Its design is also a step above the competition and features a sleek, top piece that looks more like a toy than a loud, obnoxious one. Clean Base Automatic Dirt disposal System is also self-emptying which will reduce your cleaning time.
In our tests the j7+ performed quick to pick up and remove dust, dirt and pet hair. The rubber brushes that counter-rotate kept the debris in its place instead of scattering it across the floor. It was able to collect small pieces of gravel, sand, and even a tiny bit of grit. Most robots can't achieve this feat. And all this without getting caught in our pet's shedding hair.
While it's not quite as smart as the $1,217 Roomba s9+ Self-Emptying Vacuum, which isn't able to clean stairs The J7+ is a solid option for those who require both mopping and a vac in their home. It's not too expensive, and the IRobot app makes it user-friendly to use.
While the iRobot Home app is very easy to use however, we've found it to be less reliable than other apps that work with robotic cleaners. It can take a while to download updates and it can be difficult to know if they are working until you actually see them in action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you're looking for a robotic vacuum cleaner Remote Vacuum (00Mall.Biz) cleaner that can do more than just clean your floors A hybrid is the ideal choice. This category of bots typically comes with a built-in tank for water which means they can mop and vacuum your home at the same time. These bots also have many additional features like smart vacuum mapping and small object avoidance and the ability to wash and re-dry mopping pads. They are expensive at retail, but usually come down in price on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.
Roborock has some of our most loved robot vacuums and the Q5+ is no exception. This is the least expensive model of their auto vacuum cleaner-empty line. Although it doesn't come with some of the expensive features (like no-go zones and multi-story memories), it's still an excellent choice if you are willing to make some compromises to save a few bucks.
The Q5+ is remarkably soft when it comes to obstacles like table legs and walls. This makes it a great option for homes with many furniture pieces. It's also very thorough in removing dust bunnies. This is a area where many robot vacuums that are less expensive aren't able to meet. The Q5+'s navigation system is also superb, with only a few mishaps on walls and corners.
Like other Roborock devices, the Q5+ can be controlled by a few buttons on the device or through the Roborock app. The app lets you start and stop cleanings. You can also set schedules, create virtual barrier and no-go areas, adjust your home map, or re-label the rooms.
If you choose to purchase the Q5+, it ships with a new auto-empty dock specifically designed to make the robot easy to maintain. It requires a screwdriver install, but once it's in place, emptying the bin is simple. It has a large LCD screen which is helpful when setting up schedules and adjusting settings. This isn't an essential feature for most people, but it's one that will help you keep the track of the intervals between maintenance for your robot with ease.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a smart well-rounded mop and vacuum. It's capable of mopping and vacuuming. Its design and function are some of the best on the market however it's expensive.
The base station looks nice and is hidden when it's not in use, and its size is relatively compact. The main reason to buy the station is that it automates many tasks, functions, and chores that other robots would leave to you. It can store dirty and clean water, and then electrolyze and heat the water. Most other robovacs will require this.
Its vacuuming performance is also impressive. It's the only robot vacuum I've used that has done an excellent job of removing dirt from floors that aren't. And it's not as loud as the costly Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.
However, the Freo X Ultra has its flaws, particularly in terms of navigation. Its laser sensors and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as other robotvacs. This means it is prone to getting stuck or confused in certain corners or rooms in the home. It can't navigate stairs as well as competitors,, and it doesn't have an dock that allows you to create a dedicated cleaning zone for plush carpets.
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a great choice for those who need a robot vacuum that does everything.
If you're looking to save money or aren't averse to the limitations of the robot, there are other options available. A lot of eufy models are substantially less. The Eufy Qrevo Curv, for example is less expensive and provides an identical experience on the app with more features like the ability to climb stairs, a full-function dock, and superior overall performance when vacuuming floors and low and high-pile carpets.
4. eufy RoboVac G30
eufy, an Anker company, has a track record of making robot vacuums that strike the perfect balance between performance, features and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different it offers a high-quality cleaning of hard floors and mopping functions as well as carpets at a reasonable price. It's easy to set up, simply connect one of the side brushes and then turn it on. Then connect the charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps needed to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. The dock must be placed close to an outlet that has plenty of space to move.
The G30 is small, 2.85 inches tall to be precise and will fit under many couches and other furniture with a low clearance. Its design is less ostentatious in comparison to other models. It features a sleek black finish and three buttons that are physical for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs a spot in a spiral pattern for two minutes), Recharge, and Spot Cleaner. It is also possible to connect the G30 with Amazon Alexa or Google Home for voice commands to perform routine cleaning tasks that are not scheduled.
The way the G30 cleans is what separates it from its competitors. It makes use of an integrated map to create an image of the immovable objects in its path. It remembers the things it has cleaned and where it cannot access. When it's time to recharge, it returns to its starting point and begins cleaning from where it left off.
The sleek G30 has a few issues. The iRobot Roomba is better built and has lower recurring costs. It charges faster, has similar battery life and performs better on bare carpet or floors with low pile. It comes with a larger dust bin, which doesn't require more emptying. It also comes with boundary strips that keep it from certain areas. The G30 is, however, is more affordable and much easier to maintain. Its smaller dust canister doesn't need emptying as often and is less prone to suffocating bulky materials like cereal.
