Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals
Now is your chance to own a robotic vacuum. CNET's top models are on sale this Black Friday and Cyber Monday and can save you up to 57%.
The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot that is equipped with smart mapping and app-based no-go zones. Its 180-minute running time is impressive. It also self-empties and refills its water tank.
1. Roomba j7+ iRobot from iRobot.
The Roomba j7+, iRobot’s smartest robot to date, is the Roomba J7+. The most significant innovation, however, is its camera-based obstacle-detection system. This uses AI to recognize objects like charging cords and shoes. It's also the first robot to automatically send you photos of the object it comes across to let you know to avoid it in the future.
The Combo J7+ is the best robot mop that we have ever tested. It removes dirt and spills quickly leaving no trace it was there. It's easy to control through the iRobot Home app, which lets you schedule cleaning and set up Keep Out Zones to make sure it doesn't sweep areas you don't want it to. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start and stop it by voice.
Its design is also superior to the rest, with a sleek top piece that appears more like a toy robot than a loud, obnoxious one. Clean Base automatic floor cleaner Dirt disposal System also self-empties, which will cut down your cleaning time.
In our tests, we found that the j7+ quickly removed dust, dirt, and pet hair. The rubber brushes that counter-rotate kept the debris in its place instead of scattering it on the floor. It even was able to capture sand and small gravel which other robots aren't able to do. And all this without getting caught in our pet's hair shed.
Although it's not as efficient as the $1,217 iRobot Roomba s9+ Auto-Emptying Vacuum, which isn't able to clean stairs, the j7+ is still a solid option for those who need both a vac and a mop in their home. It's not costly and the iRobot App makes it simple to use.
The iRobot Home App is easy to use, however we found it less reliable than other robotic cleaner apps. It can take some time to download updates and it can be difficult to tell whether they're working until you see them in action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you're looking for a robotic remote vacuum cleaner cleaner that can do more than simply clean your floors then a hybrid is the best choice. These bots are equipped with a tank of water so they can vacuum and mop simultaneously. These bots also come with a variety of extra features like smart mapping and small object avoidance and the capability to wash and dry mopping pads. The downside is that they can be pricey at full retail, but on Black Friday and Cyber Monday they often drop in price.
Roborock is the manufacturer of several of our top robotic vacuums, and the Q5+ does not fail to impress. It's the cheapest model of their auto-empty line. Although it might not come with some of the expensive features (like no-go zones and multi-story memories) but it's an excellent choice for those who are willing to compromise to save a few dollars.
The Q5+ is noticeably gentle around obstacles such as wall legs and table legs and walls, which makes it a great option for homes with a lot of furniture. It's also very thorough when it comes to room cleaning robot dust bunnies, which is a problem where cheaper robot vacuums often fail. The Q5+'s navigation system is also top-quality, with a few misses along walls and in corners.
Like other Roborock devices, the Q5+ can be controlled with the buttons on the device itself or via the Roborock app. The app lets you start and stop cleaning. You can also set schedules, design virtual barriers and no-go zones, alter your home map, or re-label the rooms.
If you select the Q5+ it includes a new auto-emptying dock, designed to make the robot easier to maintain. It requires a screwdriver to install, but once in place the process of emptying the bin is relatively easy. It also comes with an impressive LCD display which is great to have when setting up schedules or adjusting settings. This feature isn't necessary for most people however it can help you effectively keep the robot's maintenance schedules.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a clever, well-rounded mop and vacuum. It's capable of both mopping and vacuuming. Its design is among the top in the market however, it's costly.
The base station is attractive and hides it when not in use, and the size is quite compact. The primary selling point of the station is that it automates many tasks, functions and chores that other robots would leave to you. It can store clean and dirty water, it electrolyzes and heats the water (which most other robovacs require you to do) and empty the dust bin after vacuuming, and helps keep your robot vacuum cleaner ebay charged and clean.
Its vacuuming performance is also impressive. It's the only robovacs that I've tested that does a really good job of picking up debris on unfinished floors, and it's not nearly as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot the 900 series.
The Freo X Ultra is not without faults, particularly when it comes to navigation. Its LiDAR sensors and laser sensors aren’t as reliable as other robovacs. This means it can get stuck or get confused in certain corners or rooms in the house. It's also not able to climb stairs like other competitors and doesn't come with a dock to create a cleaning area for plush carpets.
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a great choice for those who want a robot vacuum that does it all.
If you're looking to cut costs or don't mind the limitations of the robot, there are other options available. Many of the eufy models cost significantly less. The eufy Qrevo Curv, for example is less expensive and provides the same experience in the app, but with more features like the ability to climb stairs, a full-function dock, and a better overall performance when vacuuming floors and low and high-pile carpets.
4. Eufy RoboVac G30
Eufy, an Anker company has a proven track record of producing robot vacuums that strike the right balance between performance, features and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different it offers a high-quality cleaning of hard floors as well as carpets and mopping function too at a price that is affordable. It's easy to set up simply by snapping one of the side brushes on, switch on and plug in the charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. You'll need to leave the dock close to an outlet for power and ample space for it to move around but.
The G30 is tiny, 2.85 inches tall to be exact, which means it will fit under many couches and other furniture with a low clearance. Its design is less ostentatious compared to some rival models. It features a sleek black finish with three buttons that are physical for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs the area in a spiral fashion over two minutes) Recharge and Spot Cleaner. It is also possible to connect the G30 with Amazon Alexa or Google Home for voice commands to perform unscheduled cleaning.
The way in which the G30 cleans is what differentiates it from its rivals. It uses a built-in mapping to create an image of the non-movable objects that are in its path, remembering what it's already cleaned and what it isn't able to access. When it's time to recharge, it returns to its base and resumes cleaning from where it started.
The eufy G30 has a few flaws. The iRobot Roomba 675 is better built, incurs lower recurring costs, is charged faster and has a similar battery life while offering better performance on bare floors and carpets with low pile. It has a larger dust bin, which doesn't require as much emptying. It also has border strips that block it from certain areas. The G30 however is more affordable and much easier to maintain. Its smaller dust canister doesn't require as frequent emptying and is less prone to suffocating bulky materials such as cereal.
